“Give thanks to the God of heaven.  His love endures forever.”
Psalm 136:26

You are dearly loved by God.  If that is the only sentence that you read and meditated on this week it would be what God would want to speak to your heart most prominently.  We have a tendency to trivialize that statement, maybe because we hear it often, or maybe because we sometimes don’t truly believe it.  Don’t allow the busyness of this life to distract you from this truth.  Just for a moment, close your eyes and picture Jesus sitting right next to you.  Allow the warmth and peace of His love to envelop you.  He is everywhere at all times, but He is most intimately right by your side and with you every single moment of the day.  His love for you is from all eternity.  His love for you will never cease.  This week, I encourage you to meditate upon and memorize Psalm 136:26.  For in it, you will find the message of love in your spirit that is flowing from the very heart of God to you.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father.  Thank you for the unending treasure of your love for me.  Remind me that “Neither height nor depth, or anything else in all creation will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus my Lord” (Romans 8:39).  Establish this truth in my heart and reveal your love to me, so that I can show all those I encounter this week the beauty of your everlasting love.  I thank you that you are the God of love and peace (2 Corinthians 13:11).  Lord, use me as a vessel of your love to transform my life and change my outlook on the world, for which you died.

In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.
